Welcome to Tabiji Academy. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Services

Tabiji Academy provides premium online Japanese language instruction services. All lessons are conducted remotely via video conferencing. We offer individual one-on-one lessons, lesson packages, and a first lesson for new students.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use our services. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using our services, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Account and Booking

• You are responsible for providing accurate information when booking lessons or creating an account.
• Lesson bookings are subject to instructor availability.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have a stable internet connection and a suitable environment for online lessons.

4. Payment

• Lesson packages must be paid in full before lessons begin.
• Prices are listed on our Pricing page and are subject to change. Any price changes will not affect packages already purchased.
• Payments are processed securely through our third-party payment provider. We do not store credit card information.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

• Lessons may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice at no charge.
• Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice will be counted as a completed lesson.
• No-shows (failure to attend without notice) will be counted as a completed lesson.
• If a instructor needs to cancel, the lesson will be rescheduled at a time convenient for the student at no cost.

6. Refunds

First Lesson Satisfaction Guarantee: If you are not satisfied after your first paid lesson, contact us within 48 hours for a full refund of that lesson.

• Lesson packages may be refunded within 7 days of purchase for unused lessons only, less a $25 CAD administrative fee.
• After 7 days, no cash refunds will be issued. Unused lessons may be held as credit for up to 90 days from date of purchase.
• The first lesson is non-refundable (no payment is required).
• Refund requests should be sent to team@tabijiacademy.com.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, lesson materials, and design — is the property of Tabiji Academy and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without our written permission.

8. Acceptable Use

When using our services, you agree not to:

• Record lessons without the instructor's explicit consent
• Share lesson materials or recordings with third parties
• Engage in abusive, threatening, or disrespectful behavior toward instructors or staff
• Use our website or services for any unlawful purpose

9. Limitation of Liability

Tabiji Academy provides instruction services on an "as is" basis. We make no guarantees regarding specific learning outcomes or language proficiency levels. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tabiji Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services at any time if you violate these Terms. In such cases, unused lessons may be refunded at our discretion.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
