Daily Game

Kanjile

One Japanese word a day. Six tries to read it. A small, daily habit that gently builds your eye for the language — come back tomorrow for a new word.

Today's Kanjile puzzle

How to Play

Guess the reading

Each day is one common Japanese word, spelled in romaji (Roman letters). Type your guess and press Enter — you have six tries.

Read the colours

Amber means the letter is in the right place. A soft indigo means it belongs to the word but sits elsewhere. Muted means it is not in today's word.

Learn as you go

When the puzzle is solved we show you the word in kana, its reading, and what it means — so each day leaves you a little further along.
